About the Twitchy Jr. Lure
Twitchy Jr. is a floating minnow similar to the original Rapala. This wooden lure appeals to many species and it can be fished on the surface or at any depth by adding small sinkers to the line approximately 12” to 18 “ in front of the lure.
It's
2 inches long and weighs about 3/16 oz.
It can dive to about 3 feet when retrieved with light line (4 to 6 lb. test)
and you can use some split shot on
the line if you want to fish at deeper depths.
It's made of light bass wood and sealed with a thick hi-gloss epoxy finish which
gives the lure a plastic look but it has the action of a light wood lure.
We use quality Mustad wide grip, short shank, treble hooks for good hook ups.
It's a good lure for all freshwater species.....bass, perch,
crappies, etc.
Very buoyant. Allows you to fish in
and around structure without the usual hang ups. Should the lure hit
structure, stop the retrieve and it floats away from the potential snag. When
this happens, be ready for a strike, they often come at this time.
